Warden John O'Connell
Warden John O'Connell wounded in June 1927 in San Joaquin County. Warden O'Connell was wounded while contacting three men who were hunting. During the conversation one of the men who had maneuvered out of the O'Connell's field of view shot him with a shotgun. O'Connell was able to draw his pistol and shoot the man who died of the wound. O'Connell recovered and returned to work. |
