In reply to Terry Guerrero. I think I made mistake. Joe Hernandez is actually John Hernandez and he may have retired from Fish & Game but had previous LE experience in Texas. Also LT Eric Sterbinsky is the correct spelling.

Photo at the top of the page has two guys I worked with as a Reserve or Deputy Game Warden in the late 80’s in North LA County. Lt. Eric Stravinsky or Sterbinsky is front right. He was the Lt for North La County. Front left is Joe Hernandez who was the Malibu Warden. I worked with him the most while I was living in San Pedro. Joe took an LE job in Texas prior to being eligible to retire in California. The guy in the left rear looks like Ed Ramos who I worked with in Mendocino County but I can’t be a 100% sure it’s him with the glasses on.

The guy to the right of Joe Hernandez was a Captain with San Fernando PD and a reserve with Fish & Game (If my memory is correct). I don’t remember his name. Also the guy at the right rear was a Sergeant with San Fernando PD and a reserve with Fish & Game. (Again if I remember correctly). We use to do a lot of camp outs at Castic during dove and deer openers.

The “unknown” person in the 2009 photo at Tyler’s Ranch sitting between Matirko and Duke I’m pretty sure is Walt Mansell.

My step father, James Wolford was a warden in Lassen County California. He lived in WestWood.
Jim was a kind man. Before he and my Mom married, YEARS before, he busted my brothers fishing illegally, mostly on Hamilton Branch..
I would really like to get in touch with his ‘daughter’. It is of extreme importance.
This being said, my oldest Son is now a California Fish and Wildlife officer
